Individual Therapy

There are many reasons why an individual may choose to enter therapy:

Individual Therapy. room

  • Abuse
  • Anxiety
  • Bereavement
  • Depression
  • Current unhappiness / dissatisfaction
  • Relationship problems
  • Sexual identity

...to name but a few

Whatever the problem that brings an individual into the therapy room, there is usually a held belief and hope that somehow through talking and being listened to in a particular way, some of the pain and some of the difficulties and unhappiness being experienced will be eased; that a more satisfying, enriching and a happier way of living and being may be discovered.

My work and experience as a counsellor over the years has shown this belief to be true on many, many occasions.

Session Information

It is never possible to know exactly the path or duration that any therapeutic journey will take. It is a unique, individual and personal experience. For some just one or two sessions may be helpful, but for others therapy may continue for many weeks, months or possibly even years.

For further information on how sessions are arranged and how we can work most effectively together please go to Working Arrangements

It is not always easy to know whether counselling is the right way forward for yourself. I am always very happy to talk informally, either over the phone or face to face if this feels easier for you, about the process of counselling and to answer any additional questions you may have - there is no charge for this. If, together, we then feel that another therapy or agency may be more suitable I will be very happy to re-direct you.

Please contact me if you would like to discuss anything further, or to make an appointment.
